"Allen test series for NEET 2027" is one of the fastest-rising searches on the NEET side of Google right now, alongside "Allen DLP" and "Allen DLP test series for NEET 2027". If you are about to pay for one, it is worth being precise about what a test series is for, and what it is not for.

What Allen's page actually says
From Allen's NEET online test series page, checked 4 September 2026:
- Two Target 2027 options are named: NEET Achiever Self Study Plus (CBT Test Series) and NEET Achiever Self Study Plus (Online Test Series). A NEET Leader DLP (CBT + Pen & Paper) option is also listed, so a hybrid of computer-based and OMR papers exists.
- The series "is conducted on the latest computer-based test (CBT) interface, mirroring the actual NEET exam format".
- It is "a full-year test series covering the complete syllabus", with "detailed solutions for every question" and "paper discussion and analysis by ALLEN's Kota faculty".
- Results arrive "within 48 hours" with a "detailed performance report", and doubt-solving classes follow each test.
- The page advertises "100+ FREE mock tests for unlimited practice" alongside the paid series.
The page does not state a total number of paid tests, a breakdown by test type, or a price. If a seller quotes you those figures, ask which page they came from.
The thing a test series cannot do
A ranked full-syllabus test is a measurement. It tells you where you stand against a large cohort on one afternoon. That is genuinely valuable and it is why All India ranks sell.
What it cannot do is fix what it found. Between two tests you get a report saying Electrostatics is weak. Then the report closes and the next fourteen days are yours to organise. Most students spend those days re-watching lectures on the chapter the report named, which addresses "did not know it" and does nothing for "knew it, misread the question" or "knew it, ran out of time" — and on a NEET paper those three failures look identical on the OMR sheet.
What to do in the fortnight between two Allen tests
This is the routine we give our own students, and it works the same way with any provider's series.
- The evening of the test, sort your wrong answers by cause, not by chapter. Three buckets: did not know, misread or rushed, knew but calculated wrong. Ten minutes, on paper.
- Only the first bucket earns revision time. Go back to the lecture or the NCERT line for those, and nothing else.
- The other two buckets need volume under a clock, not theory. Twenty questions in the same chapter, timed, no notes. Pacing and reading errors disappear with repetitions, not explanations.
- Days three to ten, practise the chapters the report ranked lowest — one chapter a day, with the questions you got wrong last time coming back at spaced intervals.
- Two days before the next test, sit one full-syllabus paper of your own. Not to score. To rebuild the three-hour attention span that a fortnight of chapter study quietly erodes.

Is the Allen test series enough on its own for NEET 2027? It is a measurement schedule, not a practice schedule. It shows what is weak; the work of making it strong happens between tests, and that requires many more questions than a fortnightly paper contains.
Should I take the CBT version or the pen-and-paper version? NEET's mode for 2027 has not been notified by NTA. The Education Minister announced an intention to move NEET to computer-based testing on 15 May 2026, but no NTA information bulletin has confirmed it. Practising both interfaces costs you nothing; assuming one is a gamble on an announcement that has not been made.
Can I use a free test series alongside a paid one? Yes, and most serious students do. The paid series gives a ranked cohort; a free adaptive series gives volume and follow-up. They answer different questions.
