The 3 May 2026 paper leaked. A re-NEET was held on 21 June 2026. This is the single most important fact for interpreting 2026 numbers: 2,79,848 registered candidates did not appear at the re-test, against 48,866-1,08,620 absentees in every other year. The pool that sat the re-test was therefore self-selected and stronger, and every 2026 percentile/cut-off is shifted upward as a result.
